The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to cross mopping off the to-do list. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options, making it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of the best navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.
It's extremely quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in one go. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by much. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into tight corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger objects like broken toys and books.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is simple to install, and it works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping purposes you must be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a variety of features.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home and find furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and effectively. This ensures an even and thorough clean and is also fast.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. These include corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.
Another notable feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and choose between a back-andforth, or a more random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. It's important to remember that it carries regular costs, such as mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads should be replaced every one to three months.
This robot vacuum mop is a top Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. The vacuum also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. It's a top-performing device, smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle both vacuuming and mopping. It has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping unit with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair from pets. It was able to capture some of the hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots had struggled. The noise levels were low, and there were some pleasant jingles to inform you that it was beginning and working towards its goal.
The app was too simple and you had to change the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle for homes with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our test, but it also has distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock that doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.
The base comes with several control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately, Highly recommended Site means that the X1 Omni could occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its application.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.
On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
